For those veterans who already did the work, they just made it easier for someone to come along and do the same WITHOUT rewarding the folks who already did it.
Actually the same argument can be used against the whole update. They should not add any books and should not increase any rewards since it is unfair for those who already have faction titles no?

You did get minipets do you? If that is not a reward for playing long, then what it is?

Anet chose a business model which relies on new players buying the game and not the old ones being dedicated. It is not a subscription game so why are you all so surprised that Anet prefers to caters newbies? They are not a charity as some of the people here tend to think so....

I think the update was great. I was hoping for alittle more honestly. I think its a step in the right direction. More account wide titles plz. Account wide is safer can't be lost if a character gets deleted. I think AB could use a tiny bump in faction gain due to time it takes per match compared to J/Q and F/A. Also like many ideas suggested to improve.

You're so wrong or I hope you are fro A.Net sake. You think they should only care about new players because that's how their buiness model works? Well the problem with that is a little thing called Guild Wars 2 coming out. If A.Nets stance is "we're no chairty we only care about new players" then they are going to turn a lot of people off of Guild Wars 2. Not so smart when you actually think about it.

That said I disagree with you and think A.Net was just making the game easier for new players because AND older players if that create a new characters. This happens in almost every MMO.. as time goes on older content gets updated to become easier.. just look at the elites that were taken out of WoW when TBC came out and the exp change....... it just happens.

This isn't to get new players. There is not going to be hundreds of new players flocking to the game saying "Oh now that they have books this game is going to be sweet I'm going to go buy it." That's silly.

You know what you get for being a veteran? 3-4 years of fun from playing a great game. That's all the "reward" anyone should be looking for. The fact that people are whining that a title is easier for everyone to max now, as opposed to just easier for veterans, is absurd. Vets have the benefits of experience and time over new players. There is not a single title that is now easier to accomplish for a new player than a veteran that was not affected by the November update, and even before that the only title that has ever disfavored veterans was the survivor title, because you had to restart your main when it was introduced if you wanted it.
